Thanks, I am googling what rooting the tablet is now...

Brand new Nexus 7, with Android 4.3

Android doesn't detect the camera. Meaning, nothing happens when I connect the camera to it.

After reading that the Galaxy Tab 3 removed USB mode support, I've switched to using a Nexus 7, and HR still won't recognize the camera. The camera is recognized with HR on Mac OS, just not Android.

I did try a usb mouse on the Nexus 7, and the curser does appear.

Any other thoughts?

Thank you,

Hi there, I just bought a Galaxy Tab 3, downloaded and direct-installed Helicon Remote3, and connected it to my Canon 5DM3 via the USB OTG Adaptor. Helicon Remote doesn't recognize the camera. Is this normal? Does HR work with the Galaxy Tab 3? If not, can you recommend a tablet that it does work ...
