That is really too bad. Really like your software with my D800, but I'm transitioning away from Nikon DSLRs and fully towards the Sony A7 series.
Beginning to see other solutions out there for remotely controlling the A7 series and I think it's a mistake for you guys to not support these cameras.

Re: D810 Live View Operation
So, you don't know how your software works when EFCS is activated when connected to the D810? The possibility of using EFCS in live view tethered is one of the big draws of the D810 for me with long tele lenses. I had hoped another HR using with a D810 could confirm how the D810 operates tethered us...

D810 Live View Operation
How does Helicon Remote work with taking images while in live view using DFCS? Do I have to manually put it in MUP mode and then does it operate just like my D800 does in the software by taking an image with the button on my Android tablet? My D800 would drop the mirror, raise it, then take the imag...

Re: WiFi solution - use same basic WiFi module as CamRanger?
And actually, thinking about this again - I have an old/unused android phone that would be perfect for being used as the WiFi link as long as it's operating system is still supported.

Re: WiFi solution - use same basic WiFi module as CamRanger?
Ah I see. This would work for me as I always have my phone in the field anyways.
Plus my battery life using my phone with WiFi turned on is very very good (many many hours)
What's your time frame for coming out with this solution?

Re: Connect to D800 Over Wireless With Helicon Remote?
Unfortunately the WT-4a module is waay too expensive for my needs.
I may have to look into an alternative solution that can use the TP Link device.
Too bad as I really like HR!

Re: WiFi solution - use same basic WiFi module as CamRanger?
I take this to mean that you will only control cameras that have built-in WiFi.
That works fine for my Panasonic GX7, but leaves my D800 out in the cold.

So what ever became of this?
It would be great if HR would work with this USB WiFi hardware. I really like HR, but am thinking of jumping ship to something that can use WiFi like the hardware linked to.

Connect to D800 Over Wireless With Helicon Remote?
Is Helicon Remote compatible with my Android tablet (that I already use wired) connecting to my D800 using one of the USB wireless routers (like the TP-Link TL-MR3040)?
If not, is wireless compatibility in the works for HR?
