Re: It's a pain to re-set every option at each upgrade :(
Strage, we fixed it quite long ago and just tested again: the settings stay the same after reinstall. What exactly changes when you install new version? Just about everything: Language (2 times: I have to re-set English during setup and afterwards within the software) Temporary files location Optio...

Please, fix it!!

Re: 5.3.1 Beta: changelog?
No, it's not fixed. It still: - resets each and every setting/preference, forcing the user to a tiresome re-set of everything - ignores the language chosen during setup, forcing the user to re-set the correct language and thus re-start the software Please, fix it! I reported these bugs many months a...

Re: 5.3.1 Beta: changelog?
Thank you Stas!
I hope you fixed the "reset all settings to default every time a new version is installed" issue, too.

5.3.1 Beta: changelog?
Hello,
which are the changes between 5.2.16 and 5.3.1 beta?
I'm interested in the Pro X64 version in particular.
Thanks!

Congratulations and questions :-)
I just upgraded my HF license to Pro X64, and I want to congratulate once more for this excellent application. I use HF primarly to stack film scans, in order to overcome film flatness issues; so what I do is scanning the same frame 3 to 6 times with different scanner focus settings (evenly spaced) ...

Worse image quality upgrading from 4.2x to 4.6x
Hello, I was using an oldish Helicon Focus Lite, Windows version (I registered in 2007; I think it was about 4.2x) and results were OK; I mainly use Helicon Focus to get max DOF in near-field pictures (say 2.0m to 15m, 50mm lens). My typical stacks required settings along the lines of Radius = 3, Sm...

HFocus cures curled scans!
Well, that's impressive. Anyone who uses a hi-resolution film scanner (expecially Nikon SuperCoolscans and Minolta 5400) knows that even slightly curled film produces bad scans, with either the center or the borders out of focus. Those scanners have very thin DOF and it shows, even for apparently fl...

Does Unshap Masking affect HFocus?
Hello,
is it better to apply the unsharp mask on each frame before composing with HF, or is it better to postpone it on the final image?
Does it affect the precision of the algorythm?
Thanks,
Fernando
