Pixel Smearing at sides of frame

Hello,

Any idea what is causing the pixels as the sides of the frame to "smear" in such a manner?

Moreover, how can I prevent this from happening ?

Hi, I'm a new user and I'm sure this is an error on my part.... perhaps someone can help me. I'm using remote with the StackShot and a Canon 5D Mk 2, everything is set to manual (focus, shutter, etc.) I set the in point and the out point and the remote seems to indicate that 150 shots are needed.
