updated to 5.3.10, now remote is missing?
I recently updated my copy of Helicon Focus X64 to v5.3.10 (windows 7) and now I can't seem to find Helicon Remote anywhere. There is no apparent button to launch it from within HF, and a search of my computer doesn't show it as a standalone application either. I noticed that the version notes menti...

Correction Factor List?
From the instructions, it sounds like the correction factor for calculating depth of field steps in Helicon Remote is a constant for individual lenses. Would anyone be interested in creating a list of settings that have worked for various lenses? I have found that the default setting of 1.0 is too h...

Feature requests
Hello, I have a few feature requests for Helicon Remote that hopefully would be fairly easy to implement. -Highlight/Shadow exposure warning overlays on the quick preview. Especially useful would be editable thresholds for the overlay. Also, If it would be possible to mouseover the quick preview and...

Re: Retouching feature
Excellent! I just logged in to request exactly the same feature! It will be a tremendous improvement to workflow.
Also, is there a way to save progress on retouching a stack of images so that it doesn't all have to be done in one shot (and as a security in case of a crash)?

Re: focusing
i have been using 4 second pauses between steps, which is probably long enough to rule it out as a contributing factor in my situation.

Re: Remote software not working
i have noticed that certain errors will cause the remote program to hang up. try formatting your memory card in the camera and restarting the computer/ software. shooting with mirror lock-up and using the shot preview buttons seemed to make the hang-ups more likely.

Re: focusing
i think i might be experiencing the same problem. (i am using a canon 5dmk2 and a sigma 150 macro, software updated as of today, 6/22/10, 64 bit win7) if i set the near and far focus points, using the software to control the camera and preview that these points are accurate, it gives me a readout of...

Re: Testing Helicon Remote
I was also receiving an Error 70 hangup when using a canon 5d mkII (with sigma 150 macro). this was after a round of somewhat successful shooting. i say "somewhat" sucessful because although it took the calculated number of shots, they only covered about half of the range of focus between ...
