How to capture mask as final B&W image
This might be a strange question, but when I process images in Helicon Focus, I often find that the b&w mask created at the end of the process is super cool and I would love to just capture it as THE final image, or somehow create an image that looks like it. I wonder if someone can figure out a...

Re: Recommendations on workflow - Edit RAW in Lightoom first OR do Helicon first
One of my cameras stores it images in the DNG format. So I export from LR to Helicon as DNG, then stack and then import the stacked DNG image back into LR for processing. You can also export other forms of RAW file as they will be converted to DNG in the export process. Helicon describes the proces...

Re: How to deal with foreground object?
Hi Stas - I have uploaded the stack as JPEG files - they are on your ftp site inside the zip file called "DSC_7155 BLURB.zip". (ftp://217.12.211.23/)

Re: Recommendations on workflow - Edit RAW in Lightoom first OR do Helicon first
I probably did not use proper terminology Glynnr - I am just trying to figure out what others do when doing stacking in Helicon. Do you first do Lightroom adjustments OR first do stacking in Helicon.

Re: How to deal with foreground object?
Hi Stas - sorry for the delay in my reply - I was out of town for the past two weeks. Since this is the first time when I need to upload something to Helicon, I just want to make sure I clearly understand what I need to send you. When talking about "upload the stack" are you referring to t...

Re: Cannot reload projects
Hi Stas - the issue I am experiencing is that I do not move the project file or the folder. It is always in the same location. I would even save a new project, close Helicon and then re-open it and will not be able to load the project that I saved a min ago... Should I be able to re-open projects ev...

Recommendations on workflow - Edit RAW in Lightoom first OR do Helicon first
I was wondering what is recommended re: - Make changes to the RAW files in Lightroom first (highlights, white balance, blacks, contrast, etc.), synch all files in Lightroom and then export them to Helicon Focus OR - First export them to Helicon Focus as TIF's, do focus stacking and bring back into L...

Cannot reload projects
Hi - I am new to Helicon Focus and might not be doing something right. My understanding is that it is possible to save a project so that it could be worked on later on again. But it does not seem to work for me. Here is my workflow: 1. Export stack from Lightroom to Helicon Focus 2. Render 3. Retouc...

Re: How to deal with foreground object?
I was wondering if you guys came up with a suggestion / answer re this issue. I am having the same issue when the foreground object "bleed" into the background objects. I also have an issue of a "glow" which seems to me to be the same issue - when the object is out of focus it ap...
