I don't think you can avoid it.
Look which render method works best for your motive, then repair such flaws with Retouching tools in Helicon as good as possible.
Ideally use Photoshop after that for a clean finish.

HR not working anymore
Greetings! I'm having big trouble using Helicon Remote 3.9.10 since a few weeks. Not sure what happened - it's acting like crazy! Connecting my camera (5D Mark IV) with USB-cable as usual, HR does not find the camera. After restarting everything, sometimes HR recognizes the 5D, but does not switch t...

Re: Canon EOS R
By the way, the Canon EOS RP seems to provide Canon's first internal focus-bracketing function: https://www.the-digital-picture.com/Canon-Cameras/Canon-Focus-Bracketing.aspx Maybe Canon releases firmware to make it available on the EOS R and 5DIV too... I guess Canon's next bodies will come with thi...

Re: Black picture as result
Hey Stas, thank you for the reply!
I've found the reason - it seems that it was just a dying camera in my case.
The 7D is at 420.000 shutter count and shows ERR30 since today.
So the black images were probably caused by a malfunctioning shutter curtain.
Best regards

Re: Bugs using 5DIV and Galaxy S9?
Thank you very much for the reply! The jumping problem is still relevant. I tap on the image on a spot where I want to zoom in. Then touch and move finger on screen for moving, but it jumps every first time. The huge amount of steps, can it be that it is affected by Canon's STM? Never noticed it on ...

Re: Black picture as result
Greetings! Somehow I ran into the same problem - using a Canon EOS 7D (FW 2.0.6) with Tamron SP 90mm (F004) lens and Helicon Remote 3.9.7 for Windows 10. Lighting from desktop lamps, no flash. Some images turn out just black: https://abload.de/img/helblanvjqk.jpg What I can do to prevent it? I'm not...

Re: Bugs using 5DIV and Galaxy S9?
Thank you very much for the reply! Unfortunately, I'm already running the latest HR version. But it still jumps every time as described. :( https://abload.de/img/screenshot_20190129-0c1jfy.jpg Regarding the connection lost, I was able to put HR on the list of apps that are allowed to use unlimited p...

Bugs using 5DIV and Galaxy S9?
Greetings, can anyone confirm these bugs? I'm using the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV and the Samsung Galaxy S9 (Android) with Helicon Remote. When everything is connected and I'm in the HR focus panel on the phone, there's one thing that's not working right. Everytime I want to move around the image after z...

Re: Android camera focus stacker
Greetings and merry christmas! I found this thread on my search for smartphone focus-stacking options... Is there any news about it? For some objects the camera on my phone would just be good enough. Why carry my heavy fullframe DSLR to places, where my phone could get the job done? Where do you thi...
