Re: Near and far point - shifting!

I have the Tamron 90mm macro (F004) and it works fine - make sure the Focus Limit Switch is set to "full" ?

updates

Has there ever been any firmware updates for the Tube or any App updates since first launch?
I ask because I cannot see any version numbers & I bought mine very early on.

latest version

I had Helicon Remote 3.9.7W (registered) When I click on "check for updates" it reported my software was up to date. However 3.9.8W was available on your website so I installed it. So the message in 3.9.7 was incorrect, which is a pity as it is a pain to not be able to trust it and have to...

Re: Fast shooting

Stas, this question arises time & time again and you have said more than once that it is the remote camera operation not your software that limits the max rate of shooting. Could I suggest that you make it clear on the website that this is the case, and what typical shooting speed can be expecte...

Re: Issues with Tamron 90 macro

Since there are several Tamron 90mm Macro lenses, just to clarify that mine (that worked perfectly) is the f 004. The later version is the f 017.

Re: Issues with Tamron 90 macro

I don't know which version of Tamron 90mm macro has problems but I have used the 1:1 Macro SP USD Di and it has always worked flawlessly with my D610 and D750 with Remote & with FB Tube

Re: D810 Wireless hardware

Why not use a USB cable (with android/windows)? More reliable than WiFi anyway.

Re: set up for Nikon D500

As Stas says the Remote App lets you work remotely, set the near & far points of the stack and many other options. It can also be used as a sound and movement trigger and and it is a pity that these aren't well documented in the help. The FBTube is a 12/13mm extension tube so your max. focus dis...

Re: Focus stacking with Canon 80D and iPhone

The MPE65 is manual focus and would need a focus rail, but yes the Canon EF 100mm should work fine.

Re: Focus stacking with Canon 80D and iPhone

Do you get the same issues with Canon lenses? I'm not saying that this the case here but there have been focus issues with Sigma lenses for years. They have to try to reverse engineer all the focusing data.

FB Tube IR signal transfer

A quick question Stas, when we transfer data to the FB tube there are 12 sets of transfers. Is it really necessary to ensure all 12 transfers are received or is there some repetition in the transmission maybe for a safety margin. Is just one set enough?
Many thanks.

Does any other Canon 5D4 user have issues like spiffypix or is Remote working perfectly for them?

Re: Wireless tethering with Canon 5D-MK4?

Some apps keep tasks running in the background even after closing them. I had this with the Nikon Remote app. In the end I uninstalled it and restarted to stop it grabbing the network. You may have to try this with the Canon app. (it was a pretty useless app anyway).

Re: video recording not working

Stas, I could be mistaken but I think all the App will see is that the camera has disconnected. Maybe the camera does send a message first? I wonder if this a trend with Nikon as we now know of two that do this, but why? It is also very poor that the words are well buried in their user manual. I may...
