Snapbridge

Hi Stas, do you see problems ahead for HR as Nikon moves over to Snapbridge and probably/possibly ditches open Wi-Fi? I see many users are starting to express serious concerns.

Re: Image Exposure View

Yes the D610 with the WU-1b adapter will record video via Wi-Fi controlled by Helicon Remote.
Which is why it is so frustrating that this feature is disabled in the newer D750.

Re: Image Exposure View

Stas - Yes thank you, that is the problem. In a way it would be useful if all these oddities that users find with individual cameras could go on a database. So now we have a Nikon D610 which can record video via wi-fi but has no exposure simulation - and the D750 is the exact opposite! :(

Image Exposure View

Hi Stas, When using my Nikon D750 the image in the Remote main window is identical to "Preview" or "take picture". If I change any setting like ISO the image changes to reflect this. When I then try this with the D610 this does not happen. The image in the main window does not alter when I change IS...

Re: video recording with D750

No Stas it's nothing to do with Helicon, I have at last found on Page 288 of the D750 manual - "Wi-Fi can be disabled by ...... starting movie recording." I think "can" should be changed to "unfortunately will be"! I have used a Meike grip and its remote control successfully, so now I have found a w...

Re: video recording with D750

Stas I have found a thread for iPad where you say WiFi video recording won't work on the D750 "plain & simple". Well that's a step backwards from the D610! and yes it just disconnects with no message!

Re: video recording with D750

OK I have now tried WiFi with the D610 and the WU-1b and HR worked fine when recording video, so now I'm puzzled why the D750 drops out and won't record, any help would be useful!

video recording with D750

Hi Stas, I have just tried video recording with my D750 from HR on Android with WiFi and after 1 second of video the camera disconnects. I then tried using a usb connection and all was perfectly ok, but this is sometimes not very convenient. It would seem that the problem is at the Nikon end but may...

Re: Nikon D500

Stas, You don't say what it is about the D500 that is different to make it incompatible, so do think that the D500 is an "oddball" in this respect or do think that the incompatibilities with Remote are going to be a trend with more new Nikon cameras?

Re: problems with Android devices

I updated my third Android from 3.6.2 to 3.7.3 and I had the same issues. I had to uninstall and reinstall 3.7.3 to get Remote to work properly.

problems with Android devices

Stas, I have not tried Remote on Android for quite a while but I was outside so I had to. Using v3.7.3 on my mobile when I went to "take a picture" the app froze and timed out. Stacking impossible. All live view focussing, preview etc works ok. I then tried my tablet on 3.7.3 with the same result. B...

latest Win version

Not a big issue but when I used the "check for updates" in 3.6.2w it said "up to date". I then found there was a 3.6.3w and downloaded that. So is the self checker reliable?

Re: d7200 and video

Stas, having seen this thread I tried recording video with my new D750 using wifi on Android, and HR crashed out after I tapped "start recording video". It works fine tethered. My D610 is also fine with both methods. I noticed that "Network connection" in the D750 camera Menu had changed to "Off" af...
