Re: Nikon d750

Stas, the IP address is different for each network. My home hub comes up with 192.168.1.18. Orto had exactly the same problem, posted in Nikon Dxxx and iOS connection troubles 31.8.2015 : Ok, did that already yesterday: 1. Turned on D750 - Turn on WiFi - Reset Network Settings 2. Connect iPad to WU_...

Nikon d750

I have been trying to wi-fi connect my new d750 to my android devices and getting "refused to connect" messages. Now I have found an answer. When I look at the wi-fi details on the android device wi-fi settings, it says the IP address of Nikon-WU2 xxxx is 192.168.1.2. So that is what I put in on the...

Re: Defining save folder (android)

IMHO Google changed permissions in Kitkat because before that security (permissions) was a total mess. The whole system was extremely vulnerable. Unfortunately this has now messed up Apps being able to write to ext SD because permissions can't be allocated to the ext SD format.

Re: Where do I get a cable?

Sorry yes the Nikon is 5 pin Mini-B USB 2.0, your Samsung is Micro-B, USB 3.0
search Ebay for "Mini USB 2.0 to USB 2.0A cable" and "MICRO USB 3.0 to Female USB OTG"

Re: Where do I get a cable?

The Nikon D600 & most Samsung use standard micro-B USB cable connections. The Samsung cable MUST be an otg cable to host the D600 and it has a socket for the standard USB -A plug, which is on the other end of the D600 cable. All these cables are very cheap on ebay. Look for "Micro USB to USB Adapter...

Re: Which android please?

I found this thread from Sept 2014 & thought I would try the App "play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.tauruslabs.usbhostcheck". My Galaxy Tab S works perfectly with Remote when tethered to my Nikon 610 but the App says "usb host not enabled"! tablet_core-hardware not found. so it seems it not ...

Re: Shutter vibration issues?

Stas, the LV sequence is the same on my Nikon D610. I had always been curious about the four "clunks" for each exposure before this post. I recorded the sequence of sounds and looked at the waveshape some time ago. The noise is made worse by the lens aperture opening fully & closing to the set f/ ea...

Re: HR with Samsung Galaxy Tab S (LTE)

I am using a Tab S successfully with an OTG cable. It's not the 4G LTE version but that shouldn't affect the USB i/face.

Incidentally when I recently bought my Sony Z3 compact phone it came with an OTG cable in the box, how thoughtful!

Re: D750 Wifi connection?

I have already mentioned somewhere on this forum that when trying to connect my D610 /Wu-1b I may get the error message, but usually if I retry one or more times it will connect. Sometimes I have to close the app. etc. and then retry. It always connects eventually. This happens with both my Asus TF1...

Thanks Stas, I downloaded from your site just a few days ago to my Tab S and it is v3.4.12 ( I am a licensed user) so I hope this is the latest.

Re: supported camera models

Stas, your list of supported cameras does not include the Nikon d610, maybe because it is very similar to the d600, but it works fine. I have been using Remote successfully with the d610 since April on Android & Windows. I had an Asus TF101 (v4.0.3), I now have the Samsung Tab S 8.4" (v4.4.2) and bo...

capture rate

Hello, I am a new user and am experimenting with the trial version of Remote 3.2.7.w. using a Nikon D610. I understand that this is a "disabled" version so I do not know the capabilities of the full s/w. The rate of the shutter releases seems very slow, when the camera is capable of more especially ...
