Video function broken in ver 7.7.0
Just upgraded from ver 7.6.6 to 7.7.0 and I cannot stack frames extracted from a 6K video file. Working fine in 7.6.6, but the import under 7.7.0 it is really, really slow compared to 7.6.6. Then 7.7.0 will not stack the frames or will not import the frames at all (error does vary). If the frames ar...

Re: Building fastest possible stacking workstation
My Ryzen 7 3700X works really well with Helicon, so a 3950X would be even faster. I also use a PCIe 4 NMVE drive and a low end Quadro card. The combination means the stacking is very fast. I use a RAM cache drive for the Helicon cache folder (using SoftPerfect RAM Disk). That is even faster than the...

Re: A major bug in Helicon version 7.6.0 Windows?
I was getting errors with Method C every 2 or 3 images. Nil so far after a dozen stacks. Looks promising.

A major bug in Helicon version 7.6.0 Windows?
There seems to be a major bug in Helicon version 7.6.0 Windows. It impacts Method C. I downloaded the Helicon 7.6.0 installation file and reinstalled it again. But the bug still remains. When you use Method C the stack is defective. For example, I can stack it 3 times using Method C and get material...

Re: Tips How to Combine Sharp Portions of 2 JPEGs?
Looks more like a masking/blending job, than stacking.

Re: Saving as 16bit TIFF
Frames from a 6K video, so I cannot use the RAW in DNG out function.

Saving as 16bit TIFF
Is there way to save a stack as a16 bit TIFF? I prefer to do post in 16 bit and then convert to 8 bit. I cannot find a setting. My other stacking program can save in 16 bit.

Re: Feature Request: Helicon 3D viewer
At present you can add text to the image. It is an existing feature. Keep that existing feature. I need the ability to use text solely on the scale.

Re: Picture disappears in HF 7.5.x
I have had this happen a few times. I could not work out why it was happening. Restarting Helicon fixes it, but I have had it occur 2 or 3 times. On all occasions it was a stack using jpgs - extracted from a 6K video by Helicon. I was NOT using GPU acceleration. I was not able to reproduce it, it wa...

Feature Request: Helicon 3D viewer
My suggestions: 1. Allow any scale to be placed, by the user, in any of the four corners of an image. With only one location it can partially obscure the image. 2. Have a text field that is paced above or below the scale itself. That way you can say what the scale is inches, millimetres, etc 3. Keep...
