Re: Sony A1
Not a problem. I've been trying both with and without the USB-OTG. Unfortunately, the network area and other settings on the Alpha 1 are enough different than the A7 models I've seen that I'm concerned there's something hiding in amongst all the other junk in there that's causing the problem. And, o...

Re: Sony A1
Catherine, if there's a new version since the 11/22/2022 version, I should try that. Can you send me the link if it's not on Google Play? Last time I tried to use Helicon Remote I sent a bug report to support because it still wouldn't do anything... I had the Alpha 1 in PC Remote, but nothing else w...

Re: Sony A1
Sent Feedback/bug from tablet with minimal information. Sony Alpha 1 with firmware 1.31. Tablet is Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 with Android 12. Downloaded and installed 11/22/22 version 4.3.1. Connected Type-C ports with USB-OTG cable. Helicon Remote says camera is not connected. Tried with Helicon Remote...

Re: Sony A1
It appears there's been no activity in this topic since August. Sony Alpha 1, firmware 1.31 Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 running Android 12. Tablet has successfully worked with Helicon Remote (3.9?) and Nikon D850 in the past. Same USB-OTG cable. No problem. Now using Sony Alpha 1, and want to use Helicon ...

Re: Sony A1
FINALLY had a chance to install the software. Installed the software from Google Play - I got 4.3.0 There was no option as far as leave the beta. It just installed 4.3.0. And told me it was an unregistered, trial version. In any case, it still doesn't work. I've tried a half dozen different cables a...

Re: Sony A1
I'll try to get it on today. Doesn't mean I WON'T make a complete mess of it, but I'll give it a shot! I generally try NOT to do "formal" support requests because I don't want to waste the support people or engineers' time on stuff I can usually get an answer here from someone. BUT, for th...

Re: Sony A1
I found a pointer to a different tool, and for the Alpha 1 they specify Aperture Mode EV 0 USB Power Supply Off Exposure Step to .3 EV Network>Transfer/Remote>PC Remote Function Make sure this is ON PC Remote Cnct Method USB Network>Ctrl w/Smartphone Off -- I'm not sure what this is doing. If the ca...

Re: Sony A1
I’m not sure if this will help or not, but the Alpha 1 looks like this: Network ----Smartphone Connect ---------Smartphone Connection Off/On (set Off) ----Transfer/Remote --------FTP Transfer Function Off/On (set Off) --------PC Remote Function -------------PC Remote Off/On (set On) -------------PC ...

Re: Sony A1
I’m currently using a Sony Alpha 1 with firmware 1.3. The Android tablet is running Android 12 and UI 4.1. I’ve downloaded Helicon Remote 4.2.5. I’ve attempted to connect the tablet (Type-C) directly to the Alpha 1 Type-C port. Nothing. I’ve attempted to connect the tablet (Type-C) through an adapte...

Re: Sony A1
I just looked in the Private Messages and I have zero. Where do I find the information to get whatever version will work with the Alpha 1 and get it loaded on an Android tablet?
And for the connection am I going into the USB2 micro-B port or the USB-C port on the Alpha 1?

Re: Nikon D850, wifi, HR
Interesting... I hadn't thought in those terms - my macro is usually things like flowers, so I've never needed a step smaller than "1" on the D850 - actually, I've never needed a step THAT small!

What should I see change in Method C when I change smoothing?
I processed a series of images of a flower using Method B and C. Then I got curious about what the smoothing value in C should do, so I processed them again and did Smoothing 1, 2, 4 and 8 in Method C. What I was hoping was that the slight, dark halo on part of the image would disappear as I went up...

Re: Unable to allocate memory during Save...
Yes, it's still responsive, but I'm unable to do any further processing.
The next time it happens I'll try to send a bug report.

Re: Nikon D850, wifi, HR
Not that I don't like Helicon Remote, but for what reasons do you prefer it over the built-in image stacking the D850 has?

Unable to allocate memory during Save...
Windows PC, 64GB memory, i9-12900 processor, AMD 5700XT, Windows 11 Pro. This used to happen with the old system when I only had 32 GB of memory. Today it happened with the NEW system, with 64GB, but in a DIFFERENT way. In the past it would hang during the rendering - complaining it couldn't allocat...
