Before stack: Image looks fine. After Stack way over saturated

Post by mirzaboric »

I took images in Helicon focus and they all came out perfect. I imported into helicon focus and they still looked good (Left hand side)

Once I ran the stack the color was blown out.

I attached the image for reference.

What is causing this?

Looks like you have both jpg and cr2 (raw) files in your stack. Try with just jpg or cr2.

I'd suggest the CR2 files only - JPG files have had a considerable amount of pre-processing of their own - if you use LightRoom and can use the Raw-in-DNG-out method, you'll get greater control of the final output because the processing on a DNG is like processing a RAW
