Helicon focus stuck in trial/activation not working

Recently I noticed I was still using 6.x.x and the pop ups trying to get me to update to 7.x.x weren't working. So I uninstalled 6.x through windows and went to the helicon site to download the latest version (which is 7.5.6).
And now focus is stuck in trial mode. When I paste my key (pro lifetime) into the activation window is says activation successful but the program remains in trial mode.
