OpenCL / GPU support plans

Post by uewel »

I would like to buy a new mobile workstation with a supported GPU for Helicon Focus Pro.

Currently I'm using a old Lenovo Thinkpad W520 (i7-2860QM, Nvidia Quadro 1000M) with missing OpenCL support in Helicon Focus Pro V7.5.6. I'm considering to buy a Thinkpad P52 or P53. The P52 Thinkpads can be purchased
with Nvidia Quadro P2000 (GP107 chip) or Nvidia Quadro P3200 (GP104 chip). The P53 Thinkpads can be purchased with Nvidia Quadro RTX 3000 (TU106 chip) or Nvidia Quadro RTX 5000 (TU104 chip).

Will these mobile GPUs be supported or are they already supported? The current support list shows only "NVidia 9xx, 10xx, 20xx series".

Thanks very much in advance.

Exactly this question I have actually too - when planning to buy a new computer.
Which GPU I shall choose , preventing to have a powerful one not used finally.

All of these are already supported. You can check for GPU compatibility by entering the model name in the search field on this page. If this GPU is found in our database - it is supported because someone must have been able to complete the benchmark in order to submit the result. And you will see a benchmark score for this GPU to help guide your purchasing decision.

But make sure to note whether it says "Apple" anywhere in the name column, if it does - this benchmark result is from Mac, not Windows. There is a small number of graphics cards that are supported on Mac but not on Windows.
