Cannot save as a DNG if I start with a DNG

I use Lightroom and convert all my raw files to DNG when importing to Lightroom. When I export a DNG to helicon and want to save it back as a DNG Helicon will not let me. Why will Helicon not let me save as a DNG if I start with a DNG.
I consider this to be a bug.

I think we already solved this via e-mail communication so I'll just duplicate the answer for anyone who might stumble upon this topic.
This is because Lightroom exports images in TIFF format by default, which is not raw format and thus cannot be converted back to DNG.

And you can also create a new Export preset based on the default one but with DNG format. I believe that's the only way to make the change stick.
