Helicon Focus 3.61 Pro Mac Often Locks up

Post by tohru »

I use Helicon Focus 3.61 Pro in Mac OS 10.5.2 on a 4-core Mac Pro, 8GB memory.

After a certain number of image processing (often as few as 5 or 6), HF halts to process images and the progress bar would not go further.

HF responds to clicking the Stop button and choosing Quit menu. After restarting HF, it runs OK.

Any ideas?

Thank you for the beta. It stops while processing the forth set of source images. You may or may not force-quit the beta -- System was locked up.

My images are 1600x1200 pix color uncompressed TIFF, 16 bit/channel, 20-30 per set.

I would ask you to check three thing:

1. free space on your disk. You should have at least 3-5Gb.

2. run demo stack serveral times. Maybe you have the same problem, maybe not.

3. Run applications\utilities\activity monitor and check how Helicon Focus consumes memory (virtual) from stack to stack. Normally the memory consumption should be roughly the same at the start of each processing.

I would also appreciate if you send us a couple of files to
