Version 7.7.0 Method B dark banding

Hello,
I am getting dark horizontal bands throughout the image when using version 7.7.0 that do not occur when using version 7.6.6. I believe version 7.7.0 method B is not auto adjusting exposure between source images like method B in version 7.6.6 even though "adjust brightness" is selected on.
