Command line OpenCL support?

Post by protojojo »

Hello,

I am running Helicon Focus command line mode via a c++ program.

I've noticed that the progress/speed of the command line mode is significantly slower than the GUI program.

Example, a image stack of 20 images takes about 10 seconds to stack with the GUI program. whereas the command line mode takes well over 30 seconds.

Questions:

1. Does the command line mode support using OpenCL acceleration like the GUI program does?
2. Does the command line mode support parallel image loading?

I assume not as there are not command line mode -options for either of those settings, but wanted to ask.

thank you for your time!

Using: helicon focus 7.7.5
:: Windows 10 pro
:: Intel i7 8th gen
:: Nvidia RTX 2070

Both the parallel loading and OpenCL options during silent (command line) operation will be taken from the settings. In other words, they will be enabled in the command line mode if you see them enabled in the GUI.
First and foremost, make sure you're specifying the same method and alignment options when benchmarking CLI against the GUI. Also check and compare the CPU and GPU utilization in Task Manager.
