I sometimes get this kind of mottling in backgrounds.

I am using radius: 8 Smoothing: 4 Method B.

Helicon Focus Lite
HP Pavilion
6 GB RAM
Canon 5D MKII 180mm Canon L Macro

It looks like the brightness of images was very different. Do you have Brightness adjustment in the Preferences of Helicon Focus activate? Do you shoot in manual exposure mode?

It looks like the exposures varies during the exposure sequence. Don't know why.

I have the Brightness box checked in Preferences. But what should the percentage be?
