Manual focus lens?

Post by dcsimages »

Can the stacking software work with images shot with a manual focus Nikon lens mounted on a Canon body?

Helicon Focus doesn't care where the images came from.

Thanks

Wasn't sure if the software looks for EXIF info for the lens or not.

No, there's no need for that.

So Helicon will work even if all the images in my stack have NO exif data at all?

so even if the lens doesn't transmit any exif data, Helicon can still stack the images?

It doesn't matter for Helicon Focus if there is any EXIF data. Also, the lens is not responsible for any EXIF fields other than the model of the lens itself. The rest is generated by the camera body.
