Hello,
It seems my Nikon D850 Nef files are not accepted in HeliconFocus Vers. 6
Is there something I missed or is an update coming soon ?

I'm using D850 NEF files without any issues. Download and update the Adobe DNG converter and then be sure HF is pointing to the new version.

Hello BobStone,
I did what you suggest and placed the link (after instal) in integration tab of HF preferences.
Unfortunately no change, my Nef files cannot be opened.
I am obliged to first convert my Nef's to whether Tiff or Dng, this represents additional time and the loss (for DNG only) the original camera settings informations...
Is there another way to be able to open my Nef files ??
Several years ago when I bought my D800e, a new version necessary and was published a few months later and it worked fine without doing anything...

In the RAW development settings under Source image list select RAW-in-DNG-out loader codec.

DNGConverter_10_3.exe is the program you need to run to install the converter, not the converter itself.

Under Windows, it usually installs under C:/Program Files/Adobe .... not the (x86) folder. So this will need to be changed in HF.

Nikon D850 Nef files do not open. File Load Error. My settings:
Windows 10
HF ver 7.5.4 Registered Lite unlimited
Raw-in-DNG-out Mode
DNG Converter path points to DNGConverter-11-3.exe
Color Space: Adobe RGB
Latest Nikon WIC codec.


Multiple bootings and re-bootings

Tired of converting files prior to using HF. Any help greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Found the problem. Mistakenly pointed to the installer instead of the converter. Now it works fine.
