Helican Remote with Wireless

Can't seem to fire off a series of shots for focus stacking when hooked up wirelessly. I'm using an IPAD and Nikon D500. It takes the first shot and then kinda freezes and doesn't continue with the rest of the planned shutter releases. Don't have this problem when tethered from my MacBook to the D500. Any thoughts?
