Bugs with Nikon D810 and Galaxy S9 Plus
I purchased Helicon Remote to use with my Nikon D810 and Galaxy S9 Plus. Often, the phone does not recognize the camera, and when it does, it often freezes during live view. Also, the interface seems very slow (sometimes 5-10 seconds between tap and resulting action). I've tried it shooting raw or jpeg, but same result either way. Has anyone else had this issue? Has anyone found a way to make this work? - Frustrated!
Re: Bugs with Nikon D810 and Galaxy S9 Plus
These are very particular symptoms so I'm pretty confident I understand what the problem is: USB communication errors. Either there's a loose contact somewhere in the USB connectors (don't touch the cables / connectors while you're working with Remote and the camera is turned on), or it's a faulty cable (unlikely but possible), but most likely it's a conflict with another camera-related app (find and terminate that app). Connect the camera first, close any apps that launch automatically when a camera is detected, and only then run Helicon Remote.
