I can take pictures in remote put camera won't focus in program.I have set camera per instructions but it won't auto focus.

Must be something wrong with the focus mode. Either you have AF disabled somewhere (on the lens or in the camera settings), or the focus mode is not set to AF-S. Also, please check that live view is in still photo mode and not in video mode.
