A 7r III

Post by lunar11 »

HI
why it takes so long to focus stack on a7r3 sony, the breaks between photos are far too long.
I take a lot of such shots and it is a problem.
Is it possible to speed up the whole process?

How much of a delay between shots (approximately, in seconds) do you experience?
Unfortunately, a couple remote control functions in Sony A7 III are implemented in an inefficient and software-unfriendly way, that does account for some extra delay compared to Nikon and Canon cameras, but maybe something just doesn't work properly for you (in which case there should be a solution).

Hi
First of all, I have to run the remote twice, the focus buttons are inactive the first time I turn on.

I shoot in silent mode
The bracketing process looks like this:

and it might look like this:

HI
This is the speed I got with powershell script on imaging remote from sony.
Everything works well, but there is no other functions.

It would be great if the helicon would work at this speed with A7r3.
in several hundred scenes, it is a big difference in time

Hi, I realize we're responding late, but the video is unfortunately private now. Our developers would like to see what focus bracketing speed you were able to achieve with A7R3.

There are no obvious artificial delays in Helicon Remote that could be removed for better performance, but there could be a number of small improvements we could make for a decent cumulative effect. The only real limitation is how fast the camera itself can reliably work in remote control mode.
