No WiFi connection

I'm using a D500 with internal WiFi and the latest software and an Iphone 8 running ios14.7.1 Have been trying to connect helicon remote to my camera for two hours now.
The phone and camera connect fine. But the Helicon Remote software will not recognize the camera on the auto setting.
I have also tried entering the cameras WiFi name and address manually into Helicon. All I get is Helicon remote does not see a device with that address on both manual and auto settings.
