I've was shooting with my Canon 5d Mark III all day just fine, when all of a sudden it stopped firing correctly. The shutter makes a faint dull thud (as opposed to the loud click) and the flash doesn't fire. The camera still takes and saves an image, but obviously not correct without the flash.
I can fire the camera properly using a remote cord, and the Canon EOS Utility fires the camera correctly too.
Tried reinstalling the software, but that didn't fix it either.
OSX 10.8.2
Remote ver. 2.5.8m
Please help!

Re: Remote not firing correctly
Please reset camera body settings and see if it changes anything.
Re: Remote not firing correctly
Thanks Stas. I reset the camera, but that didn't change anything.
I then plugged the camera into a different computer & it fired just fine, so I'm assuming it's a software issue.
Any other thoughts?
