Helicon doesn't see 7d on new Nexus

Post by rmc360 »

4 different mini cables, 4 different camera cables, Helicon Focus says "No camera detected". Google Nexus 7 is new as of 7 days ago. Rooting voids my warranty. Do I need an additional USB app?

Certainly yes, but it seems you can unroot your tablet afterwards.
Have a look at this site:

everything is explained in details.

Do I need an additional USB app?

"SuperSU" application is automatically installed during the rooting process.
It will grant Super User rights to Helicon SW when your camera is connected.
In addition, if you want to have access to USB keys via the OTG cable, you can use StickMount application. I'm not sure if StickMount is mandatory for Helicon Remote however.

Thank you so much! I installed the latest update and now it's working. Hopefully it will stay that way. I also looked at this <http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1810 ... in-nexus-7> about USB debugging.

Do you mean that you've installed a recent Android update and changed nothing else? What was your Android user interface language, have you changed it?
USB debugging option only affects how your tablet is connected to a computer. It doesn't matter when you're connecting devices to Android.
