How does Helicon choose what image or images to use for the "out of focus" portions of the background? It would be a nice enhancement if you allowed the user to select what image to use for the background.

The program does not distinguish between the background and the object, it tries to identify focused areas in every part of the image. There are two ways to control the background - to leave only those images in the stack, where the object is in focus rather than the background (selective focus), or to make several retouching strokes using Helicon Focus retouching tools to copy the background from the desired source image
