Elimiate aereas in certain stack positiones

Post by danibo »

Hallo
I photograph faces and have to stack aereas like eyes etc. Sometimes the person glips and the eye is closed. Is there a way to eliminate certain parts of the picture (mostly out of focus) So it would not be part of the process. I could make it translucent in Photoshop. I know the retouching tool but but with certain movements it would help to eliminate certain parts of the picture.
Thanks ahead

The is no simple way to mask those areas. I would suggest to blur the areas you want to be ignored with soft blur brush. That will make the program think that there is no details there and ignore the area. Alternatively, I would suggest to shoot more images for the same focus position to be able to select images later. You may use burst/serial mode or exposure bracketing with lowest step.
