Fruit fly x50 magnification. 15-frames, 20-exposures per frame. Could have stacked the wings a bit better

Method C should be optimal for this stack, which one have you used for this one?

I used Method A - I'll give Method C a try Method B didn't work well at all.

Yep, method B does not work well with transparent objects. Method B chooses only one "best" layer and transparent objects need details from several layers.
