Saving Images in Folder with hour and minute?

Post by dkperez »

How do I create a folder for saving stacks that contains the hour and minute in addition to the default folder information? For example, my default folder appears to be [year4].[month].[day]_[counter]

What I'd like it to be is [year4].[month].[day].[24hour][minute]_[counter]

It's a problem because when I shoot stacks, I frequently move a set of stacks from the Nexus (7 or 9) to a PC. When I do that, future stacks on the same day appear to restart the counter, which means subsequent stacks OVERWRITE the stacks previously moved to the PC.

So, for example, if I shoot
2015.04.19_001
2015.04.19_002
2015.04.19_003
2015.04.19_004

then MOVE those stacks to the PC to clear space on the tablet.

I LATER THE SAME DAY go out and shoot another series of stacks, and again I get:
2015.04.19_001
2015.04.19_002
2015.04.19_003
2015.04.19_004

which means when I move THE NEW stacks to the PC, they overwrite the stacks created earlier.

I'd like to make the stacks unique, so this doesn't occur. Thus my asking HOW to put the hour and minute in the stack folder name. OR, alternatively, is there a way to NOT have the counter reset?

Hour in 24h format is [hour]; minutes and seconds are designated by [minute] and [second] placeholders. You can see all the available templates in the settings of the desktop (Windows / Mac) version of Helicon Remote - there's a green "+" button next to the file and folder name fields, pressing it will show a list of all the templates. They should also be listed in the manual, but we've added a couple new templates recently that hasn't been documented yet.

Got it. Hopefully, this will help keep me from clobbering old stacks with new stacks!
