Feature Request: Video Capture

Post by TravisH »

Hi,

This is no doubt a fairly simple request, but given Helicon Focus has the ability to support video stacks, it would be great if Helicon Remote also had the ability to capture video stacks. Much the same way that you set an upper and lower focus limit in Helicon Focus, set the steps and so on it would be nice if you could set the upper and lower limits, and have a button which sets the camera to start recording a video, and then moves through the focus points (from lower to upper or vice versa) at a specific appropriate speed then once it finishes it would stop the camera.

This way it lets the camera shutter be saved a little bit for people who want to capture that sort of way.

Many thanks

That is possible to implement, albeit the practical value is questionable due to low video quality. It's not a substitute for high quality photography.

Thanks for confirming, that's exciting news for people who want to use the app for video purposes. Basically, I want to use this to do rack focusing (or follow focus) while shooting video. Are there any tutorials on how to set this up in the the app?
