Identifying unused images in a stack

Post by paitken »

I always plan my stacks to start before the closest focus point and end after the furthest. Thus there are quite a few images that HF does not use. Is there a way for HF to tell me which images were not used so I can delete them from disk?

In the Retouching panel, move the mouse over the closest part of the subject. The image which was used for that part will be shown. Same for the farthest point. This should provide the info you need.

At the moment it's only possible to identify images that contain no focus data manually, by going over the images in the stack (PgUp/PgDn keys can be used to browse through the stack in HF) and visually identifying the first image with focus on the object.
