Hi there,
I feel like I am missing something simple, but here we are.
I have a nikon connected to an Ipad via OTG cable.
It connects to the camera with out issue, but everything is greyed out.
I am running the latest iOS, i just installed the app from the app store, v 4.2.6 iOS (Sept 16 2022) ]
I understand that without a license I have limited functionality and thats fine, but I would expect at least something to work before i purchase it.
I have not tried the wireless network connection yet, tethered is just easier on the camera battery.
What am i missing?

Nikon D750 Live View is disabled?
Re: Nikon D750 Live View is disabled?
Hi,
Whatever the problem is, it's definitely not because you don't have a license. Please send a bug report (menu - Feedback) while the camera is connected and the controls are grayed out. We'll study the report to learn what the problem is and how to fix it.

Hey Catherine,
Thanks for the quick reply. I just submitted the bug report via the app.
please let me know if you need me to try anything else.

Re: Nikon D750 Live View is disabled?
just incase someone else runs into this.
it was because my SD-cards in the camera already had images.
It seems the software gets into this state while the ipad is doing its own thing trying to read and index the images. I do astrophoto stuff mostly so it was a goodly number of images .
I have asked the dev team if its possible to detect this state and pop up a notice about it, it also might be something good to add to the FAQ.
kudos to the staff here and the dev staff for a quick reply and resolution.

Thanks for the confirmation! It might be possible to detect, although not simple. We'll see what we can do.
