I cannot preview or live view my camera in Heliocn Remote, it recognises my camera, Canon 1100D but i have no control of it. I have seen others with a similar issue.
These is also a prompt of overexposure in the Histogram settings on the right hand toolbar column.
What can I do to resolve these issues. Thanks

Re: no live view for Canon 1100D
To clarify: The lens autofocusses fine in live view, but does nothing if you're not in live view? The fact it autofocusses in live view means that the contacts are working OK, so that's something.
Live view and normal autofocus are completely different. Live view uses "contrast detect" autofocus, which is slower but requires no specific AF hardware (it uses the actual imaging sensor) and works all over the frame. Normal autofocus uses "phase detect" and is a special unit that is much faster but only works at specific focus points

Autofocus in remote control mode is only possible with live view on. Not to mention that modern cameras are mirrorless and they are always in live view.
