If you are not lucky enough to be a Canon shooter, able to access Magic Lantern or CHDK, you can still use the odds rule, ie select your overlap hyperfocal (H) and focus at 3H, H, H/3, H/5 etc

Remember that H is easy to estimate in your head, using the Rule of Ten, eg https://photography.grayheron.net/search?q=Rule+of+ten
