Is anyone using Helicon Remote wirelessly with the D750?
I shoot mostly in wet forest areas, on the ground (fungi), and using a tether cable is problematic as I'm getting dirt and other debris in the USB connections.
Wondering if I need to download additional Nikon software. The whole wireless thing is confusing, as there may be discontinued software on the Nikon site as the camera is getting quite old now.
Wireless Remote on Nikon D750
Re: Wireless Remote on Nikon D750
No extra software is needed. Just turn Wi-Fi on in the camera and connect your computer or mobile phone to the camera's Wi-Fi network.
Re: Wireless Remote on Nikon D750
Hope the foll. helps:
The last D750 firmware update in 2021 was C: Ver 1.1.5.
When you turn "Network Communication" to "on" your device should see "Nikon WU2_ ...." to connect to.
Sometimes I have to "Reset" in "Network Settings" for this to happen.
The D750 won't remember the settings once switched off.
By the way the D750 will immediately disconnect if you try to record video via WiFi.

Re: Wireless Remote on Nikon D750
Thanks for the replies. I've switched from my mobile phone to a Galaxy A8 tablet as a control device, and the wireless connectivity is working fine with Helicon Remote. And using a 10" display is far superior to preview the shots, so I'll stick to using this method.
