Hi, need to do a bunch of product shots with focus stacking so I´m looking for a solution do do the shots mostly automated. Had a testrun with Helicon remote what turned out to be great - but there are two questions left to make it work with Helicon:
1. The focus range is nearmost ever the same, for the protucts are rotated on a turntable, so I can have Start- and Endpoint all the same. But is there a batch function to automatically have more one session.
2. Is there a way to hand over some signals to external devices - so either to trigger the turntable for the next step - or better to send an amout of x (adjustable) steps directly to a Nema stepper motor (interface)

Re: Helicon Remote and Stepper
Hi,
1. There's no function to explicitly save the focus stacking parameters, but for example if you know that the camera is already at the correct starting point, you only need to input the interval and the number of shots. Locking the points is not required. Or it can be at the correct ending point, then just change the shooting direction to the opposite.
2. We support three kinds of motorized devices: Stackshot, Wemacro, and Trinamic / Pandrive. The controller for your turntable is probably none of these, so we can't interface with it, sorry. What is it?
