Hi again, Catherine,
I am trying to composite two images, one with 32 images, the other with 116. Each file is 907 MB. Hardware acceleration would be attactrive.
When I render without Apple M2 Ultra, the compositing works fine. When I change to using Apple M2 Ultra, close and restart HF, and render, it fails. I redid this experiment several times, and got the same result.
What do you suggest?
Thanks,
Phil
Hardware acceleration failing
Re: Hardware acceleration failing
Hi Phil,
I think you encountered this before, was it on a different Mac or the same one? If I remember correctly, the last you said this only happened on one machine.
Also, please right-click any of your TIFF source files - Image information - post the screenshot of the info dialog.

Re: Hardware acceleration failing
Hi Catherine,
Yes, this is on the same machine. I can try running the file on my laptop if you want.
Is this the info you want?
Thanks,
Phil

Re: Hardware acceleration failing
Hi Phil,
I meant that you should right-click a source file in Helicon Focus. Sorry about unclear instructions.

Will do…tomorrow when I get home
Re: Hardware acceleration failing
Hi Catherine,
two screen shots with hardware acceleration turned off:
Do you want me to redo with acceleration turned on?
Thanks,
Phil

Re: Hardware acceleration failing
Thanks Phil,
No, this is simply information about your source image files, it doesn't depend on OpenCL or anything else that Helicon Focus does. The files look very typical, nothing special or unusual, so I don't think the problem is related to your specific images.
Do you experience any similar corruption issues when working with images in any other software?
