I shoot in two ways.
1. With a macro lens with internal refocusing. In this case, distant frames have a smaller scale. Everything is fine here.
2. By shifting the lens and camera using macro rails. In this case, distant frames have the same scale as the near ones. I would like to avoid cutting off the edges of the near frames. Attached are photos: the first (near) frame of the stack, the last, the result (method C). It is noticeable that the left part of the petal is heavily cut off, and the empty space above the flower has disappeared (it is artistically important).
I would suggest enlarging the near frames. The result will have a larger width and height than the original, but we will avoid losses.

Try inverting the sorting order: uncheck "Sort automatically" and check the different order to what it was, or try both for certainty.

No difference except brightness:

Re: Scaling a stack when shooting with lens shift
That's weird, there should be a difference in the image size and subject size on the image, at least a small one. Can you upload your stack for us to study? You can drop it to our private storage.
Re: Scaling a stack when shooting with lens shift
Uploaded stack "Бархатцы" (50% of size).
Re: Scaling a stack when shooting with lens shift
Select "ascending" sort and uncheck "Crop outputs automatically" in the settings. You'll see why it had to be cropped.
Try getting a sharper focus on those outside petals, and have a bit more space around the frame.

Re: Scaling a stack when shooting with lens shift
I've already tried and seen stripes. But I don't understand why it's impossible to make the final image size larger than the original frame? We take the far end as 100%, and the near ones gradually increase. If it turns out to be 120%, 150%, whatever - everything is fine. The program by default always gives a result with sizes no larger than the original, and I suggest abandoning such a limitation so as not to spoil the stack.
Re: Scaling a stack when shooting with lens shift
I want to know: will there be a version that takes my suggestion into account?
Re: Scaling a stack when shooting with lens shift
Hi, sorry for not replying sooner. I don't think this is just a matter of image size, but let me discuss it with the developers again.
