OpenCL Support Windows 10 AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT

Hello,

i updated my windows system from an AMD Radeon RX 480 to a Radeon RX 7800 XT. With the RX 480 graphics card Helicon Focus was working very well with OpenCL. Now Helicon Focus can't initialize the OpenCL Driver anymore.

I also use Adobe Products like Photoshop and Lightroom. Both use OpenCL too. Both do work with the Radeon RX 7800 XT. I used the TechPowerUp Tool GPU-Z to show the features of the graphics card. It shows me OpenCL Support 2.2.

I removed all drivers and installed also an older version with no luck. Is there anything i can do to get it up and running. I bought the graphics card especially to make Helicon Focus a little bit faster while working with raw images. Should i better send back the graphics card?

We don't yet support AMD RX7000 series GPUs, but we will. I just can't give you a time frame right now.

Please this is urgent. I have changed all my pc setup, expecting this to be a big upgrade for helicon (is literally my main software) and I cant use it.

Same OpenCL problem.

RX7900XTX 24GB.

Yes, we are aware, and we expect to support these GPUs soon. Please note that this is not a functionality issue, everything is working in Helicon Focus, only the render time is somewhat longer than it could have been otherwise.

In the meantime, I have sent my graphics card back. I had some crashes of the openCL driver in Lightroom. The display of graphics after applying filters was also faulty. It seems to me that AMD urgently needs to make improvements here. It doesn't seem to be a problem with Helicon Focus alone. I use my old RX 480 again and it works as expected.

Helicon Focus doesn't work because we haven't yet supported this GPU, it's not a problem with the drivers and not related to the issues you might have had in other software. There may be something wrong there, but that's not why Helicon Focus doesn't support this graphics card yet, we just need to do some work.
