monitor profile/calibration
Hi there, I've downloaded the trial version and am testing the software currently. I notice that the saturation on my built-in display (MacBook M3) is more saturated/too saturated compared with rendering of other monitors and applications. I've tried loading in a few different profiles via the colour management preferences (leaving the profiles in the default Library>>ColorSync>> Profiles directory) but there seems to be no change/difference in the display saturation. Am I missing something on how to alter this setting to try and get better colour matching onscreen? thanks

Re: monitor profile/calibration
not seeming to be getting any info here so will try to restate the issue more simply —
What method(s) are there to adjust monitor calibration in the Helicon application as from what I can see changing the preference settings in the application has no effect.
thanks

Re: monitor profile/calibration
Hi,
Sorry for not replying before, your initial question was still floating among our developers.
1. Which applications did you compare Helicon Focus to on the same monitor?
2. Are you comparing how Helicon Focus displays the resulting image to how that other application displays the same image saved by Helicon Focus (on the same monitor)?
3. Assigning a monitor profile in the Helicon Focus preferences does have an effect, we just double-checked that. If you don't see any change - that's only because the effect of your assigned profile is too small.
4. If you do assign a profile, it must be the same profile that is being used by the system for your display.

Re: monitor profile/calibration
Hi thanks Catherine,
The screenshot linked below on GoogleDrive is a good illustration — the left side is the output file, previewed in the Mac Finder. This visually matches what I would see in Photoshop, StudioNX, etc., and matches as well the original input TIFF file when previewing in the same application(s)
The right side is the working/preview image within the Helicon application — more saturated, higher contrast, more red.
So the actual output file is not an issue, but Ideally the 'working space' while using the application would be matching the input and output files better...
thank you
