Would it be possible to implement a manual cropping feature?
This would be really great for the RAW to DNG feature as it would help reduce the file size in situations where there's a lot of empty space around the subject, especially with high-resolution images like 60MP - 100MP files.
Feature request: manual crop (also for DNG exports)

It's in the file - Preferences - Autoadjustments - Show user crop rectangle. Turn it on, and then you can define your working area.
Please note that there are 2 viewing modes on the main panel ("Rendering"): you can be viewing the source images and adjusting focus stacking parameters, or you can be viewing the already rendered stack with its result on the right and source images on the left. When you are in the split screen mode, the image has already been cropped and you can no longer control the rectangle. You need to back out of the current stacking result and start a new stack by pressing the "Reset" button to the left of "Render". There you will be able to adjust crop again.

Re: Feature request: manual crop (also for DNG exports)
Thank you!!
Somehow even though I searched for that and looked at various tutorials, I only got results regarding the auto-crop feature or questions regarding unwanted crops and I really didn't think to look at the Autoadjustments!
This is great, this is going to save to much space (and time!)! Sorry to have wasted your time!
I do have one request though: Do you think it would be possible to add a Shortcut/Hotkey to toggle that option? Something like for example Cmd+U / Ctrl +U?

We don't have shortcuts for global settings. Maybe we'll rearrange something and pull it out of the preferences dialog, but it won't be very soon.
You can effectively disable crop by setting the rectangle to the full size of the image.
