import from helicon to LR Classic

Post by bartdev52 »

If I send my photo's from LR Classic to Helicon I see the photo's in Helicon Focus. After stacking I save the stacked photo and it return to a map with the correct name. My queston is HOW I CAN IMPORT THE STACKED PHOTO AGAIN IN THE CORRECT FOLDER IN LIGHTROOM CLASSIC.
Has somebody the answer. thanks

The photo is automatically imported back into the active catalog. Also make sure that you have the latest Helicon Focus version 8.3.2, we've made a small improvement to this functionality recently.

Hello. Two days ago I downloaded helios focus version 8.2.2. Where could I find the suggested update 8.3.2?

Hello Bart,
It's in the downloads section of our website, as always: https://www.heliconsoft.com/software-downloads/

After downloading, make sure Lightroom is not running, then go to the Helicon Focus menu - File - Preferences (or menu - Preferences on Mac) - Integration, press the "Uninstall" button, then press "Install". This will refresh the plugin and make sure it's the latest version.

Hello
I see that Windows needs version 8.2.2. After stacking and saving I must close Helicon and after that the stacked photo will immediately set in my photogallery. I have 3 times unstall and install include complete uninstall the app but in now works.

Are you running Windows 7?
Either way, the photo is imported back into the current catalog. I'm not sure what the problem is, what exactly do you think is not working?

No IAm running windows 11 latest version. After stacking Helicon send the photo to the correct LR Classic map. But the synchronisation didnot happen. Yesterday evening I suddenly saw a pop up from Helicon after stacking photos. In my words. close helicon and the photo will send to your catalogue. If I close Helicon I see the staked photo in the photostrip in LR.I tested this process some times and every tack was directly synchronised after closing Helicon.
I hope you have a solution
Best regards

After rendering your stack, you must save the images and exit Helicon Focus. Only after exiting it the photo will be imported back into Lightroom.

If you don't see the pop-up message to exit Helicon Focus after saving the rendered image, it means you used the incorrect way to export from Lightroom to Helicon Focus, you didn't use the plugin for exporting, and the result will not be imported back. You must export using the "Helicon Focus (TIFF)" or "Helicon Focus (DNG)" menu items. Anything else is wrong.

Yes, the results can only be imported into Lightroom after you close Helicon Focus.
