FujiFilm Cameras
Re: FujiFilm Cameras
I don't know. I'm noting down your requests but we can't do it in the near future. Then we'll see.
Re: FujiFilm Cameras
Having moved to Fujifilm cameras .... not high end spec ... and wanting to upgrade I would love to see this brand included.
Re: FujiFilm Cameras
Which model(s)?
Re: FujiFilm Cameras
I have installed FTDI drivers for Windows 11 StackShot appears as a available camera on Helicon Remote.
After choosing StackShot as a camera, the StackShot controller shows "USB Control" in it's display.
Even though I'm not able to control the bracketing in Helicon Remote.
Does remote control require a camera sensor connected as well as the StackShot controller?
I'm using Fujifulm GFX100S II which isn't supported unfortenately.

Re: FujiFilm Cameras
Use this version of Helicon Remote, it can do focus bracketing with just the Stackshot and no camera connected: https://www.heliconsoft.com/downloads/H ... 3.9.12.exekrisch2 wrote: 22.04.2026 15:51 I have installed FTDI drivers for Windows 11 StackShot appears as a available camera on Helicon Remote.

Re: FujiFilm Cameras
This version controls the StackShot without a camera connected, thanks!
Seems like I have another challange: The delay from shutter release to next movement is very short, and I can't figure out how to increase this delay similar to Pause after movement as the Advanced settings are not active with only the StackShot connected. I've also tried to adjust T1 off and T2 off in StackShot but it doesn't seems to have any effect when Helicon Remote is sending the commands to StackShot.
Is there something I'm missing or isn't it possible to do long exposures?

Re: FujiFilm Cameras
Helicon Remote menu - File - Preferences - Stackshot - Pause after movement should do what you want, can you confirm that you tried this exact setting and it didn't work?
Re: FujiFilm Cameras
When I set 2sek it delays 2 sek after movement and then the shutter release is triggerd and that is fine. But very short after shutter release the motor moves to next position and then waits for another 2 sek before shutter release is triggered again.
I think the delay after movement is ment to stabilize the rig after moment and before shooting, it doesn't set the shooting time which is what I'm looking for (as far as I understand).

Re: FujiFilm Cameras
Yes, you're right, looks like there is no way to account for the actual exposure duration. This is not a problem when the camera is also connected and controlled by Helicon Remote, since it knows when the exposure ended, but for the mode you're using there is no workaround, I'm sorry. You're probably better off using the Stackshot standalone, or using their own software.
Re: FujiFilm Cameras
Oh, that's a pitty. Hope you can add support for Fuji cameras soon or at least add a manaul parameter in the StachShot preferences settings to set the exposure manually as we do with the delay after movement. I assume the last suggestion would be a quick fix compare to adding Fuji support?
Re: FujiFilm Cameras
Yes, that would be pretty easy. However, we probably won't update the stable Helicon Remote version 3, and version 4 doesn't support standalone Stackshot operation (without a camera), so we need to add that first.
Re: FujiFilm Cameras
Do you know the exact time delay between shutter release and next movement in version 3?
Re: FujiFilm Cameras
There seems to be no explicit delay, only the inherent time to transition between the shooting state and moving state, maybe 50..100 ms.
Re: FujiFilm Cameras
Ok, can you please explain how to use version 3 with StackShot without camera?
As long as you are going to shoot more than 1 photo this will not work?
