Re: A7rV Support
Today I tried it on the workstation I use for photogrammetry, and it fails to take the photos, as I wrote in the previous post, it takes and saves correctly only the first one, while the other shots are taken in rapid succession (without taking into account the delay set) but none of them are saved, in fact from the log it says that there is a problem with the connection to the camera.
I also tried changing both cable and port but the result does not change.
I sent you 2 bug reports yesterday

Re: A7rV Support
With the latest version the remote works fine on my camera!
Re: A7rV Support
That is great news, thank you for trying that and for letting us know!

Re: A7rV Support
I just have one question, the time between when the focus is set (after the focus has positioned itself in the right place, and the machine is stopped) and the actual shot, is it normal for it to be about 7-8 seconds?
I think if you could decrease this time it would be great, especially for people like me who have to do focus stacking for photogrammetry, and then repeat the process hundreds of times...
Thank you for your great work!

Re: A7rV Support
There is some inevitable delay, but no, 7-8 seconds is way too long. Please send a bug report after you observe this next time, we'll take a look (menu - Help - Report a bug).

Sent just now,
For your info, there are about 10 seconds between when he finished the focusing process and the shot, while there are about 7 seconds between when he shot and when he starts the focusing process again for the next shot.

Ciao ho appena aggiornato il firmware della mia Sony A7rV alla versione 3.0 e comunque Helicon Remote non vede la mia fotocamera, chi mi sa aiutare? Grazie e buone feste

A7R5 support is not yet available on iOS, we're working on it right now. If you're trying on Android, Mac or Windows, make sure you have the latest version of Helicon Remote, for Windows/Mac download it from our website.
And make sure that you have selected the "PC Remote" mode in the camera menu (the yellow section). If that didn't help, please send a bug report while the camera is plugged in and turned on.
P. S. If you installed the Sony remote control software on Windows, the problem is that it has replaced the camera driver. Use the Device Manager to find the USB device corresponding to the camera, and delete the device. Tick the checkbox to also delete the driver files. Then reconnect the USB cord to let Windows install the default driver.
Re: A7rV Support
1 utilizzo Windows 11;
2 installazione demo Helicon Remote Windows Versione 4.5.0;
3 disinstallazione del software Imaging Edge Desktop (con questo software le funzioni da remoto funzionano);
4 riavviato il PC;
5 al riavvio ho collegato la fotocamera Sony A7rV con firmware 3.0 alla porta USB e ho scelto, tra le altre opzioni, Ripresa remota (vedi screenshoot);
6 a quel punto in Gestione dispositivi ho trovato il driver (libusbK Usb Devices - Sony Remote Control Camera vedi screenshoot);
7 dopo aver avviato Helicon Remote non vedo l'opzione della mia Sony;
Grazie a Catherine e a chi saprà aiutarmi

Re: A7rV Support
You need to switch the camera back to the remote control mode as it originally was.
Then open Device Manager, right-click this "Sony Remote Control Camera" device - Uninstall device. Proceed to uninstall it and tick the "Delete driver files" checkbox.
After it has been uninstalled, unplug and reconnect the camera.

Re: A7rV Support
Any news when the A7R V will be fully supported? Thank you!
Re: A7rV Support
It is supported, try the latest version of Helicon Remote (from our website for Windows/Mac, from the app store on mobile devices).

Re: A7rV Support
From what I see, there is no AF support for A7R V. Am I correct? If so, will there be AF support any time soon? Thank you.
Re: A7rV Support
Yes, this is true, what it means is the button to trigger AF from Helicon Remote is not available. We will try supporting it, but the Sony documentation for it is vague and it's not clear how it actually works.

Re: A7rV Support
Totally understandable. Sony cameras are not easy to deal with, hopefully one day it could work like with Canon cameras. Thanks again!
