Hello, I tried the new version of Helicon remote today, the autofocus is working correctly now

, but now something is apparently wrong... .. I save the closest focus position (A) sucessfully, but the problem comes when i click again the autofocus button to get position B..., the program will automatically wipe the information of point A...
Also it seems that the DOF caculator is working correctly now, with f16, 135mm and FX sensor it gives me 11 shots with a 5 interval... the merged image seems to be OK now.
Thank you for the support
Manuel Franquelo.

Also i kind of see some "blurs" on the boundaries of certain objects,(like the one i attached), maybe i can fix this with some settings ?
What about the halo's ? are they cause of the parallax error ?

This can be an optical problem because unfocused foreground object masks background. But this also can be an algorithm artifact. You can try reducing Radius when using method B or to use method C.

I have the exact same problem, you can't set point b with af, pressing af buttons wipes locked points

As it is intended to. You need to use focusing steps buttons to manually move to a second point, as described in the manual.

Ok,
Maybe a warning when pressing the af button if A is locked, telling "point b should be set manually", and failing nicely without wiping out locvked point A would be nice and would help to avoid confusion

It will probably not work at this moment, but we expect to issue an update soon that will support D600. There's very little information on this camera yet, but we hope it does support remote control fully, in which case it won't take us long to adjust Remote.
Do you have a D600 already, or only planning to buy? if you have it - give Remote a try, it could work.
I recently purchased a D600 and am interested in purchasing an Acer Iconia A700 tablet to help with focusing (in addition to other tethering options)
I've read where the usb 2.0 connection is only capable of displaying a 640x480 liveview image. If this is true, then I might have to rethink the tablet option and consider a dedicated hdmi driven monitor to get a higher resolution image (but losing the tethering options unfortunately).

There is a warning message when you press AF and at least one focusing point is set. Just checked in the latest version and it's shown. Do you not see it?

All Nikon cameras provide live view picture of 640x480 resolution. That is over USB. We don't know if it's any different over HDMI.
