Dead/bricked FB Tube?

Just received FB Tube from another user who was switching camera brands. Device appeared to be operational at first. As part of the initial setup, I downloaded the latest firmware (1.0.3) into the Tube. Subsequently, the device no longer appears operational. No green flash at power up. Aperture display shows a problem (see pic). LCD display shows an error when attempting to turn on LiveView and camera refuses to go there (see pic). Subsequent attempts to load any of the three firmware versions has no effect and there are no LED flashes at all. Made sure volume setting was all the way up, sound setting correct as required. No luck with either iPhone or iPad. Have tried other lenses (e.g. Nikkor 16-80) but still nothing. Is it possible I have "bricked" the device? Is there a way to recover from this state?

UPDATE: Catherine at Helicon support reached out to me. They are swapping out the unit. Great customer service!
